Imagining Futures Using Patterns

Visualizing the Absurd

People’s stories of remote work include the good, the bad, and the the strange. These various types of experiences will undoubtedly be carried forward into the future.

One thing’s for sure: Rules will exist; and people will try to get around them in creative ways. The people who design products will then deal with these situations in helpful and sometimes maybe not-so-helpful ways.

These following speculations aim to explore some of the quirky possible futures of remote work, and question them in ways that might unintentionally help us reflect on our present.
